Design of Experiments (DOE) (3-hour Class)

$0.00

One of the more advanced tools in Six Sigma is the designed experiment, also called Design of Experiments (DOE).

Once you have identified process variation, a properly designed experiment can help you determine which variables or factors are driving most of the variation, instead of waiting to collect data from the process.

In the class, we will go through a simple experiment in class, and graphically analyze the results. Next, we will talk about the planning of an experiment, and the three criteria to consider: blocking, replication and randomization. We will discuss Fractional Factorial, Factorial and Response Surface Designs, and the advantages and disadvantages of both. We will use Minitab statistical software to provide example data sets from various industries. Templates for Excel will also be provided.

Upon completion of the workshop, you will have an basic knowledge in DOE, and know how to setup and analyze a simple experiment in Minitab.
