What is an Energy Treasure Hunt?

A collaborative activity where employees learn and work together to walk around their facility at various times of day over a weekend and during work hours (2-3 day period) to uncover opportunities to save energy that don’t require large capital investment (behavior and process based improvements).

Without accountability, this will become another “idea” that you have on your to-do list for years. We have experience conducting these events, and can help you avoid pitfalls so your event has the highest chance of success. We will guide you through every step of the process with practical tools, templates, and recommendations.

How does it work?

Over a 6-week period, we will give you practical, actionable steps to setup and conduct the Energy Treasure Hunt.

You will watch pre-recorded videos with templates and homework assignments, and we will have a group coaching session to answer questions.

You will also be able to network and connect with other businesses during our live sessions to share insights and strategies.

There are three main phases we will walk you through during our virtual sessions:

• Planning – Schedule and plan the event
• Activity – Conduct the event
• Cadence – Complete action items and capture energy-savings results

At the end of the 6 weeks, you will have completed your Treasure Hunt and will have a list of key actions that you will manage over the next 30 days.

Can you travel to our facility and facilitate the event for us?

Yes, please contact us to learn more. Approximate cost will be $5000 plus travel expenses for a 3-day event, but we will guarantee that more than $5000 of low-cost energy savings opportunities will be identified during the event, essentially paying for the program.

Who should be responsible for planning and facilitating this event?

Anyone can be the main contact or attendee for this training, but typically we work with Operations managers/supervisors, Sustainability leaders, Facility and energy managers, and HR professionals focused on employee engagement.

Which companies are eligible for this coaching program?

Any type of business committed to reducing energy costs and improving environmental performance, from small offices to large manufacturing facilities.
