Earn your Certified Construction Quality Manager (CCQM) through ASQ

There is a new certification available at ASQ, to add to the plethora of quality certifications they offer.

The Certified Construction Quality Manager (CCQM) recognizes those that ensure construction projects adhere to high quality standards.

From the ASQ website:

A Certified Construction Quality Manager oversees contract development, strategic quality planning, resource management, the design process, required documentation, and project closure. They apply principles of quality control, team building, project management best practices, risk management, environmental and social governance, and safety management to enhance construction project quality and achieve planned outcomes. Additionally, the Certified Construction Quality Manager utilizes statistical methods and quality tools to analyze and improve construction processes, ensuring that the final deliverables meet all stakeholder expectations and industry and quality standards.

To qualify to earn the certification, you will need 8* years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the CCQM Body of Knowledge and 3 years of on-the-job experience that must be in a “Decision-making” position.

* Credit for higher education can be applied towards the 8 year requirement

The CCQM Body of Knowledge is broken up into 8 sections

The exam windows are 4 times a year: February, April, June and August, with registration deadlines about 3 weeks before the start of the exam window.
